DUBAI: Etihad Airways has officially added its sixth Airbus A350 to its modern and fuel-efficient fleet, following a successful delivery flight from Toulouse, France.

The aircraft landed in Abu Dhabi over the weekend, marking a milestone in the carrier’s long-term growth strategy.

Known for its efficiency and sustainability, the A350 continues to enhance Etihad’s position among the world’s leading airlines with younger, greener fleets.

The A350-1000 variant, favoured for its long-range capability, is equipped with next-generation features across all cabins. Business Class boasts privacy-focused sliding doors, wireless charging, and state-of-the-art entertainment systems.

Economy Class includes ergonomic seating, Bluetooth-enabled device holders, and modern inflight connectivity.

The aircraft is 25 percent more fuel-efficient and produces 50 percent less noise than older wide-body models.

Despite the aircraft’s rising popularity, global supply chain constraints continue to challenge A350 production, with deliveries of the freighter variant now delayed until 2027.

This summer, Etihad will launch the A350 on flights to Atlanta – its sixth North American destination and one of 16 new routes being introduced in 2025.
